Webmobo Beta Bugs

We have discovered some bugs within the Beta website for WB News when the archives get dislayed, the Bug is now fixed. Before it gave a PHP Fatal Error so the entire WB News Beta was unavailable. We have since fixed this and now all is operational. We apologise for any inconvience this may have caused.

Beta 3 in use

We have updated to Beta 3 for the Beta site. We are happy with the participation thus far and would like as many to test Beta 3 before official release hopefully next week. There were only a couple of fixes needed to be done from Beta 2, and only one known bug still exists in the system we hope that this is fixed for official release next week.

As this is the last of the Betas to go through for version 1.0.0 this will be the last official Beta post the next news post here will be about v1.0.0 being made publicly available and what Beta users need to do with upgrading to the official release if they have used it for production use. The next Beta version that will require a Beta will be v1.5.0 this will not be happening for at least 6-7 months according to our estimated time line so we suggest users have fun and post here regularly or on the Demo site which will have the official version online a few weeks after official release.

Beta 1.5 Uploaded

We have uploaded Beta 1.5, this was needed due to the amount of critical Bugs Found, we have since fixed the vast majority of these. The WB News beta homepage has a list with current bugs. Currently out of the known bugs we have 2 which are still unfixed these do have a small fix which is still in the testing stage we will probably place this into Beta 2.

There is still a lot of testing to be done and in various versions. Currently we know that WB News works with PHP 5 very well, in fact the development was done in PHP 5.0.4 as with the last of the Release Phase 2 stage. With the Beta we still have not tested with PHP 4.3.x versions this will be done sometime before the Beta 2 release and hopefully any Bugs should be fixed and put through into this version.

It has been a very long week of Beta so far, we have uncovered already over 15 Bugs most of these are Browser Compatibility issues. We expect it to be another long week before the Beta 2 release with probably a few more Bugs to fix.

Beta 1, Bugs Fixed

We have currently fixed all known bugs in WB News for Beta 1 which means Beta 2 should have all applied bug fixes implemented. We have also scrapped the Language System since most of this can be done within the theme configuration files called "theme_info.php" which will be located in each directory for each theme.

There is still a fair bit on the to do list, and we hope that this can be all completed by Beta 3, you should notice a few additions in Beta 2.

As for the Rich Text Editor we had planned to be release within this current version it is still in development and there is still a lot to complete in this, we also hope that by the time it is complete all major browsers can support it currently Opera from what we have tested does not work and Safari has added some support during the last few months which makes us think Opera should not be too far off in the future expect this to be completed hopefully within the next 6months or so.
